About the AHA Resource Center

In today’s dynamic health care environment, access to timely, high-quality information is vital. Analysts, consultants, educators, researchers, legal staff, health care professionals, and other leaders from across the nation make the American Hospital Association Resource Center their first choice for health services administration information. Through a staff of information specialists, a network of information resources, and an array of customized information delivery services listed below, the AHA Resource Center serves as a centralized source for information on a broad array of health care issues.

Quick information: Drawing from sources readily at hand, staff supply quick facts such as data items, addresses and telephone numbers, dates, definitions, and referral to other appropriate resources.

Document delivery: Drawing from the comprehensive collections and extensive networks of the AHA Resource Center, the document delivery service ensures timely access to essential materials. For times when speed is crucial, expedited services are available. An online catalog for books, journals, and other publications in the Resource Center collection is available.

Specialized information and data retrieval: Highly-trained information specialists apply their knowledge and unique skills to locate and retrieve information. Drawing from a wide range of information resources, including periodicals, books, reference materials, electronic information sources, internal and external databases, personal contacts, and other print and nonprint tools, staff provide the information and data needed to support your management, strategic planning, educational, or research activities.

The Center for Hospital and Healthcare Administration History
Recognizing that knowledge of the past influences the present and the future, the Center chronicles the history of hospitals and healthcare administration, with special emphasis on the United States. A historical collection, an oral history program, a photographic collection, collections of archival materials, and other items of particular historical value to the field are maintained and made available for use.

Information on the Resource Center’s fee-based services is available in the service and fee schedule. The Resource Center’s hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. central time, Monday through Friday. For more information, visit our web site.
