100 Patient Safety Benchmarks

Becker’s Hospital Review has compiled national benchmarking stats related to patient safety, using 3 sources for the data: Medicare’s Hospital Compare web site, AHRQ’s Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture, and the Kaiser Family Foundation’s State Health Facts web site.

The 100 benchmarks are organized by these categories:

  • Readmissions, mortality, and complications
  • Process of care measures
  • Patient experience
  • Patient volumes
  • Patient safety culture

The article provides a useful, quick overview, but for more details, check the original sources.
