Our blog-reading friends at AORN gave me a little challenge — what’s the throughput in ambulatory surgery centers? How many procedures per OR per year? After crawling through some sources that I already knew to have data about ambulatory surgery centers — with no luck — I came across a fascinating benchmarking resource that I did not know about — the Intellimarker. This resource is based on “a 2010 analysis of over 240 licensed freestanding ASCs.” And it’s free! Check it out!
