Learning from organized crime best practices

How can a legitimate business draw lessons from the operations of global crime syndicates and terrorists?  It’s an intriguing premise.  The text is chilling.  My first reaction was a strong desire to change all my passwords and put my savings under the mattress.  Here are the lessons: 1.) Constantly scan the news to stay up to date on new technology and trends; 2.) Use freelance talent and network like crazy; 3.) Money is not the only motivator; 4.) Lots of small transactions may be more lucrative over the long run than the big sales; 5.) Partner with rivals.
