Creating a Culture for Hospital Employee Wellness

A new American Hospital Association report looks at health and wellness programs for hospital employees.

The report provides:

  • Background on health and wellness programs and how they are incentivized by the Affordable Care Act.
  • Findings from an AHA survey of 876 hospitals on their employee health and wellness activities.
  • Examples of hospital best practices, ranging from a smaller critical access hospital to large integrated health system.
  • Seven “how-to” recommendations for the field. These recommendations provide goals as well as action steps and examples of how hospitals can meet these goals.
